The excavations at Tell Mozan in Northern Syria have been documented in a first-person documentary, UNWRAPPING URKESH : The Discovery of a Buried City .

This film is resolutely personal –– there is no narrator and excavators speak straight to camera and to the viewer. In this sense, the film is like "popular science," but unlike much archaeological filmmaking on television today. Here's a link.
